Affordable Housing and Tax Credit Developments in DelawareDelaware to Receive $12,454,159 in Block Grant Allocations for FY 2011

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) released the following final FY 2011 block grant allocations totaling 5.4 billion, of which Delaware is receiving $12,454,159:

  • $3.3 billion in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds (reduced 16.5% from FY 2010);
    • Dover- $247,673
    • Wilmington- $2,224,394
    • New Castle County- $2,144,263
    • Delaware State Program- $1,873,345
  • $1.6 billion in HOME Investment Partnerships (HOME) funding (reduced 11.7% compared to FY 2010);
    • Dover- $0
    • Wilmington- $645,310
    • New Castle County- $1,111,151
    • Delaware State Program- $3,001,118
  • $298 million for Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA); and
    • Dover- $0
    • Wilmington- $686,951
    • New Castle County- $0
    • Delaware State Program- $205,796
  • $160 million in Emergency Shelter Grant (ESG) funding;
    • Dover- $0
    • Wilmington- $108,049
    • New Castle County- $104,107
    • Delaware State Program- $102,002
