The application deadline for the New Castle County Community Economic Development Grant is Friday, June 29, 2012. The grant will fund activities that develop and expand small businesses located in New Castle County. There will be a competitive application process that will distribute a total of $50,000. The maximum grant will be $15,000 per applicant. Partial grants may also be awarded. Up to 50% of selected project costs will be funded and a funding match must be provided by the applicant. Other considerations for matching funds include staff time, donated land and other contributions. Eligible businesses include: Nonprofit 501c3 charitable organization, Entities that apply in partnership with a nonprofit 501c3 fiscal sponsor, 501c6 business league and trade organizations and Towns, villages and communities in New Castle County with populations under 10,000.
