The Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is conducting a study on the round of funding authorized by the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA), known as the Neighborhood Stabilization Program2 (NSP2). The purpose of the Neighborhood Stabilization Program (NSP) is to stabilize communities damaged by foreclosures and abandonment. NSP2 grants are provided to states and selected local governments on a formula basis.
According to the Federal Register, the “information collection will involve site visits and interviews of NSP2 grantees, in order to describe the process of implementing the NSP2 program and to identify the neighborhoods where NSP2 funding was spent, in order to evaluate its impact.”
